Mfundo Vilakazi, an 18-year-old midfielder, has been delivering such impressive performances that the entire Amakhosi fanbase appears incredibly excited for his senior team debut.
Mfundo Vilakazi was discovered by Vela Khumalo when he was 15 years old, playing for Doornkop Students at the 30th edition of the Philly's Games in Tembisa, located in the Gauteng province of South Africa.
The games were televised on SuperSport channels, where Khumalo noticed the talented player's exceptional left foot. Since then, Amakhosi fans have anticipated his debut in the senior team. Under new coach Calvin Johnson, Vilakazi started training with the first team after not training under the leadership of Molefi Ntseki.
However, his debut was postponed because he was taking his grade 12 final examinations. Recognizing the priority of education, Vilakazi was given time off to focus on his studies.
