Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance in Euro 2016 game by game

Cristiano Ronaldo gained recognition in the Euro 2004 tournament following his transfer to Manchester United in 2003. He was emotional when Portugal lost to Greece in the Euro Final, and since then, he has been determined to lead his national team to another Euro final. Despite facing numerous disappointments with Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo has remained resolute.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the ex-Manchester United player, made his debut in a match against Iceland, which turned out to be a disappointing experience for him as he only managed to take one shot on target throughout the game. The match ended in a 1-1 draw with a goal from Nani.

In the second game of Euro 2016 against Austria, things went from bad to worse for Cristiano Ronaldo and the Portuguese national team. He missed a crucial penalty kick, and the game ended in a goalless draw, making qualification for the knockout rounds seem unlikely. However, with Cristiano Ronaldo on your side, nothing is impossible.

The last group game was against Hungary, where Cristiano Ronaldo once again displayed his unwavering commitment to both his club and the national team.

Ronaldo's determination ensured Portugal advanced to the knockout stages, despite being behind three times in the match. He scored twice, including an impressive backheel and a powerful header, and also provided an assist to his former Manchester United teammate Nani.

The ex-Real Madrid player and highest goal scorer in Real Madrid's history played against Robert Lewandoski's team, Poland.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw, and Portugal emerged victorious in the penalty shootout. Ronaldo had the final say as he confidently took and scored the first penalty.

In the semi-final, Cristiano Ronaldo faced off against his ex-teammate and friend Gareth Bale. The two Galacticos players went head-to-head, but as usual, Ronaldo took the spotlight with an amazing header and assist.

This was one of his top-notch displays while playing for Portugal, and it led to their first victory in regular time in the tournament. As a result, Portugal made it to their first European final since 2004.

The Euro 2016 final featured Portugal and France, with a focus on Cristiano Ronaldo and Antoine Griezmann delivering standout performances for their respective teams.

However, the final took a heartbreaking turn for former Real Madrid star Ronaldo as he suffered an injury and had to leave the game.

Despite this setback, Ronaldo continued to support his teammates from the sidelines, showing resilience and determination. His dedication paid off when Portugal secured a historic 1-0 victory against France, marking their first European Championship title.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Antoine Griezmann each earned two man of the match awards during Euro 2016, the most in the competition. Cristiano Ronaldo also scored three important goals for Portugal and also provided three assists, collectively contributing six goals, won the Euro Golden Boot and was also included in the Best Eleven of the tournament despite playing few minutes in the final and managed to help Portugal win the Euro 2016.
